The fighting video game Tekken 8 was developed by Arika and Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. On January 26, 2024, the game was launched on the PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. In the Tekken series, it is the tenth overall and the eighth canon release. The story mode of the basic game, called The Dark Awakens, centers on the last encounter between protagonist Jin Kazama and his father Kazuya Mishima, and is set six months after the events of its predecessor. A separate narrative mode centers on Lidia Sobieska, Eddy Gordo, and Yoshimitsu’s investigation into the past of the Mishima Clan and the revival of Heihachi Mishima.
