Mizora Bg3 introduction

Wyll’s magical abilities originate from Mizora, a cambion who serves as his infernal patron. Wyll’s own power and skill lie in the Blade of Frontiers’ sword craft, but without his agreement with Mizora, he would not be able to cast Eldritch Blast. Furthermore, Mizora works for Zariel, the Archdevil who governs Avernus. For this reason, in the first Act of Baldur’s Gate 3, Wyll is sent to find Karlach.

You may flip this clever cambion around at one point in Act 2. As a result, this guide will include some Act 2 spoilers as well as some for potential Act 3 events. It will also cover the epilogue and the potential effects of this decision on companion relationships.

Because the results of each choice are not always obvious, choosing between killing or saving Mizora in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be difficult. Act 1 introduces us to Mizora, an evil-aligned character who is a recurring figure in Wyll’s questline. As a result, dealing with her might be challenging because decisions involving her don’t always make sense. This is true at a lot of places in the game, as when you support Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3 and help her fulfill her faith-related goal of becoming a Dark Justiciar.

The devil Mizora, who appears at Gate 3 of Baldur, makes a deal with Wyll to use him as her servant and send him on jobs that she deems relevant to her in return for additional power. Since Mizora is obviously an evil character, it would seem wise to get rid of her. This may apply to any player with competing objectives, but it is particularly true for those who are simulating a good-aligned character. The outcomes, though, might not be what was anticipated. Regarding the other choice, the same may be said. When it comes to the decision of whether of saving or killing Mizora, it is clear that not everything in Baldur’s Gate 3 is as it seems.

Who is Mizora Bg3 | The Cambion Serves The Archdevil Zariel

It is best to know Mizora’s true nature before deciding whether or not to save her. Mizora is an extremely strong cambion that serves the archdevil Zariel, who was also Karlach’s master before to her escape from her Avernus soldiering duties. Although Mizora has some connections to Karlach’s past, her actual role is in Wyll’s storyline. When he was attempting to stop cultists from calling the terrifying dragon Tiamat onto his realm of existence in Baldur’s Gate 3, the cambion came upon him at a time of great need.

Seeing that he couldn’t stop them all, Wyll agreed to a deal that Mizora had put out, whereby he would give him the ability to beat them in return for offering her his eternal servitude. One of Mizora’s deal’s features prevented Wyll from talking about what happened, including the defeat of the Tiamat cultists and his recently formed pact. This caused Wyll to clash with his father, who insisted on answers. This is the primary cause of Wyll’s exile from Baldur’s Gate and his subsequent separation with Ulder Ravengard.

Mizora assigned Wyll the duty of hunting down Karlach, who escaped from Zariel’s horrible army. Here, the player may actively influence how Wyll and Mizora’s story arc turns out. Mizora will give Wyll a unique item known as the Infernal Robe as a reward if they decide to murder Karlach. However, Mizora will punish Wyll by turning him into a devil and causing horns to spawn from his head in Baldur’s Gate 3 if they decide to spare Karlach.

What Happens To Mizora Bg3 In Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 2

In Act 2, a projection of Mizora will emerge on the main bridge going up to Moonrise Towers, requesting that the player release a valuable asset that is imprisoned inside for Zariel. She tells Wyll that this is a direct order and that if he doesn’t follow it, he would be sent to Avernus. Players can explore the Mind Flayer Colony after completing the Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3 and the first phase of the Ketheric Thorm boss fight. There, they might run into Mizora trapped in a Mind Flayer pod. They can either unleash or destroy Mizora by pressing the buttons there.

During Act 2, when Mizora is interacting with the buttons on the Mind Flayer pod and selecting the option to exterminate her, the device will instantly murder her. This means that Wyll will likewise be slain and brought to Avernus to burn as soon as she passes away. This is due to the fact that aggressively murdering her is breach of Wyll’s contract. Wyll is permanently removed from the player’s party when Mizora dies in Baldur’s Gate 3. Players will see a cutscene in which he burns down to nothing more than a pile of ashes if he is now a part of the party.

Nothing but Wyll himself is gone because his ashes may be lost for all the gear and items he had in his inventory. However, Wyll’s passing prevents him from finishing his companion story missions and impedes Karlach’s quests. Not only does Wyll no longer have Mizora as a companion, but she is also never killed. When a devil is slain outside of Avernus, they are simply transferred back to their last location in Avernus, as may have been discovered after slaying Yurgir in Baldur’s Gate 3. Thus, killing Mizora only kills Wyll, upsets her, and releases her back into the Hells.

Act 3 will see Mizora return, and her actions will be determined on whether or not she was saved. She would be angry if she were killed, and she will directly see the player’s struggles in trying to rescue Duke Ravengard from the Absolute cult’s clutches. The decision to murder her also prevents the player from romancing Mizora in Baldur’s Gate 3. If she is killed while confined in the Mind Flayer pod, the straightforward romantic scene with the devil will not be possible.

Mizora will be considered killed even if players opt to ignore her completely rather than actually pressing the exterminate button on her pod. Before entering the main encounter area in Baldur’s Gate 3, where they will confront Ketheric Thorm, they will get a warning. In the game, this acts as a point of no return. Wyll will become a Lemure in Avernus once they enter the Mind Flayer pod, where Mizora will die. This may easily become one of the most crucial choices in BG3, as if Wyll is the player’s primary character, he will die and they will reach Game Over.

Infernal Robe Mizora Bg3 | Tellagraph.com
Infernal Robe Mizora Bg3 | Tellagraph.com

Unless you first recruit Wyll at the Emerald/Druid Grove, you won’t meet Mizora in Baldur’s Gate 3. He is there to defend the Tiefling refugees from the Goblins who are attacking them as the hero known as the Blade of Frontiers. When you first arrive to the Grove, speak to him inside the Hollow. Your tadpoles will resonate, and you may invite him to join your group.

After that, start Wyll’s companion quest, The Blade of Frontiers, and talk to him frequently to get to know him. His main objective is to find Karlach, a “devil.” She is located by the river, just south of the Abandoned Tollhouse. Another possible partner is Karlach, whom you can either persuade Wyll to release or assist in killing. In any case, you will get the opportunity to meet Mizora face-to-face that evening at your next Long Rest. You will either receive the Infernal Robe as a reward for your activities with Karlach, or she will curse Wyll and transform him into a devil.

After that, carry on with the game into Act 2 and the remainder of Act 1. Mizora will come to you and Wyll in the Shadow-Cursed Lands and inform you that Zariel’s valuable asset has been taken by the Cult of the Absolute. Wyll won’t provide any more important task, but saving this individual is her next and most crucial mission.

Your journal will therefore be updated with the quest “Rescue Zariel’s Asset.” Searching is possible while at Moonrise Tower. You won’t be able to advance on this quest, though, until you jump down into the Mind Flayer Colony at the very end of Act 2. Wyll will be necessary to successfully perform the upcoming dialogue scenes, so make sure to include him in your party before continuing!

What Happens If Choose to Save Mizora Bg3 in Baldur’s Gate 3

There are a number of branching routes you can follow after landing at the Mind Flayer Colony. Taking the first path on the left will lead you to Zariel’s asset. After passing through a room filled with pods, you’ll enter a wider space with more pods.

Look at the pod on the left side of the wall, near the back. You will eventually come upon “Zariel’s Asset,” who is actually Mizora! It’s time to make the big decision. You have the option of saving Mizora or letting her suffer. However, you are effectively shaming Wyll if you don’t save Mizora. He will spend all of eternity in Avernus as a Lemure because it represents a breach of their contract.

However, saving her, particularly if Wyll is with you, creates several chances for rewards and a potential modification to Wyll’s contract.

How to save Mizora in Baldur’s Gate 3:

  • Finish Act 1 before proceeding to Act 2.
  • at Act 1, find Karlach, decide her fate, and invite Wyll to your party at the Druid Grove. Later, you first see Mizora at the camp.
  • Mizora will suddenly show up in the Shadow-Cursed Lands and inform Wyll that locating Zariel’s asset is his next task.
  • Make sure to have Wyll in your party before going inside the Mind Flayer Colony at the top of Moonrise Towers.
  • Play Act 2 through. Mizora makes everything feel urgent, but you don’t have to hurry. to the natural conclusion of Act 2, you will arrive to Zariel’s asset location.
  • The pod is located on the left side of the wall in the back room.
  • Go down the first path on your left within the Mind Flayer Colony.

Consequences of Saving Mizora Bg3

You can negotiate with Mizora and perhaps get Wyll out of his contract by saving her in Baldur’s Gate 3. When you engage with the pod, it can also reward you with an amazing weapon, but only if Wyll is there.

Additionally, you will have more story in Act 3 if you keep Mizora alive. If Wyll doesn’t agree, she will go back to him and try to negotiate another contract, which may be expensive. Additionally, she will eventually join you as a camp follower and may even be considered an ally during the last fight of Baldur’s Gate 3 depending on the situation.

Free Wyll From His Contract

The stakes are raised when Wyll tells Mizora that he won’t release her until she releases him in the dialogue scene that appears after you interact with the pod in which she is held. Mizora agrees, but she won’t release him from the contract until he has freed her first, citing “Clause F, Section Nine” of their contract. It’s safe to let her out, even if you might be afraid to trust her.

In classic cambion fashion, she will technically fulfill her promise. This time, Mizora says she would release Wyll, but he still owes her money for another six months, citing “Clause Z, Section Thirteen.”

Even though this might not seem like a complete victory, Wyll is able to hold onto his abilities during that period, allowing him to keep Eldritch Blast his enemies

You should get a new Persuasion dialogue option as soon as Wyll is released nearly from his contract. You must pass a 14 DC roll if you select “You’d think we’d get a reward for going through all this trouble.” Mizora will agree to deserve another reward if you give her the check, even if the request may sound a little greedy.

The most effective rapier weapon in the game is the Infernal Rapier, which also grants you access to the potent Level 6 spell Planar Ally: Cambion. With the ability to use their Charm action on a humanoid creature on turn one and then follow up with the Draining Kiss ability for enormous psychic damage, a Cambion summons is a great addition to any party. The Cambion also behaves similarly to all other summonses in the game, remaining with the party until it is eliminated or killed.

Act 3: Other Story Consequences

Ultimately, Mizora will reappear in Act 3 and attempt to seduce Wyll into another contract after saving her in Act 2. Furthermore, Wyll’s personal history and his wish to protect his father, Duke Ravengard, from the Absolute will be closely related to this. Mizora will reappear outside the Audience Hall as you get closer to Wyrm’s Rock Fortress and once more after you go. She’ll make fun of Wyll’s father’s situation and say she’ll come see you at camp.

She will then reappear during one of your Long Rests and provide Wyll with an extremely challenging choice. Mizora will assist you in saving the Duke if you sign another contract to serve her forever. Or decline, which would probably result in Wyll’s father being put to death.

Furthermore, Mizora will choose to remain here regardless of your choice. She will become a camp follower, and you can talk to her anytime you visit, even if she is unable to join your active party. She’ll have some interesting things to say regarding some of Act 3’s happenings!

Finally, in the last battle of Baldur’s Gate 3, Mizora can potentially be one of the allies you can call upon to join the battle. This is only possible, though, if Wyll accepted her second contract offer and committed to her service forever. Wyll won’t be kicked out of your party right away since Mizora is equally as committed to taking down the Elder Brain as you are. Wyll will therefore stay with the group until the story’s end.

In the final battle, your summoned ally will behave exactly like any other summon. You will be in complete control of their actions and movements. Disintegrate, Hold Monster, Haste, and Eyebite are some of the useful and potent spells that Mizora may use.

The answer is yes if you were wondering if you might ever have a wicked tryst with the demon in Baldur’s Gate 3 after meeting Mizora and Wyll. All the information you need to understand Mizora’s romantic interactions in Acts 1, 2, and 3 of BG3 is covered in our extensive Mizora Romance Guide.

How to Romance Mizora Bg3 in Act 1

To put it simply, the first thing you must do is make sure Wyll is in your party. This implies that you should defend the Druid Grove and support them instead of attacking it and siding with the Goblins, as the latter will permanently bar Wyll from your party. Just having Wyll in your party is sufficient; any other decisions you make, such whether or not to keep Karlach alive, have no effect on this.

How to Romance Mizora Bg3 in Act 2

Rest at your camp when you get to Act 2, and Mizora will show up ahead of you to inform Wyll that he has a new mission: to save one of Zariel’s assets from Moonrise Towers. The asset is located at the rear of the Tadpoling Center after you defeat Ketheric on the roof and follow him into the Mind Flayer colony. It will be revealed to you that Mizora herself is the asset.

Examine the device on the right or use a Strength check to destroy the pod to save Mizora. Mizora will thank you for sparing her life and promise to end Wyll’s contract within six months. Proceed as usual into Act 3 as it isn’t the part we are worried about.

How to Romance Mizora Bg3 in Act 3

You can proceed with Act 3 as usual now that Wyll and Mizora are both alive. Mizora is located in the room under the Audience Chamber, which is where Gortash is, if you go to Wyrm’s Rock Fortress. If you chat to her, she will discuss the coronation of Gortash.

But when you see the coronation, the real fun begins. She will tell you that Duke Ravengard is being moved to his death if you speak to her again. She will claim she will visit your camp to talk to Wyll about it if you ask her if she knows anything. Mizora will arrive the next time you rest, changing Wyll’s contract.

She will offer to either surrender Wyll’s soul to Zariel in order to rescue Ravengard, or she will break Wyll’s contract in return for his father’s life. Here, any choice is acceptable, and Mizora will remain in your camp going forward. Mizora will finally want to speak with you in the morning following another long rest.

Talk to her and choose one of the following options:

  • “Sounds delicious. What are you suggesting?”
  • Smile.

Mizora will then inform you that she will see you tonight. You have the option of waiting until your next long rest or going back to one instantly. At any rate, Mizora will come see you at night.

Select one of the following options:

  • Bask in the powerful sensations rising from the circle.
  • “I’m ready. Bring me the pleasures of the Hells” or Sigh and brace yourself
  • Gorge on the River of Blood. Relish it’s flavour or Take a tentative sip.

After that, select any option that doesn’t indicate that you’re rejecting Mizora or backing out.

Lastly, select the last choice:

  • Step into Mizora’s outstretched wings

Following that, you will either like or not appreciate spending the evening with Mizora. But be advised, there are consequences for this. Wyll will be furious at your behavior the next morning, but not to the point where he will take any action. But your present lover will say something different. You do have the opportunity to fix your relationship if you put up enough effort, yet it may depend on who it is. When yielding to this devil’s temptations, use caution!
